Gustav Santo
Gustav Moritz Santo (* 2. June 1802 in Schlichting home , † July 1 . Jul / 13. July 1856 greg. In Tartu ) was a Baltic German pastor , teacher , and author .
Life
Santo studied at the University of Wroclaw . Before he came to Livonia in 1837 , he was a school teacher and pastor in Germany. His next professional position was that of a home teacher in Riga . From 1839 to 1846 he was a teacher and inspector at the district school in Arensburg and from 1846 to 1856 he was a lecturer in history at the Gouvernementsgymnasium in Dorpat. From 1853 to 1856 he was President of the Estonian Scholarly Society .
