The Gutenbach is a 2.58 km long stream and tributary of the Wildebach near Salchendorf in the southern Siegerland .
geography
course
The stream rises on the slopes between the mountains Große Rausche and Kleine Rausche at an altitude of 397 m and flows in a slightly S-shaped valley towards Salchendorf.
Around the middle of the valley, a small side valley branches off towards the northeast, from which the only tributary of the Gutenbach comes. This is 0.7 km long and rises at around 385 m in the so-called "Hofstätter Forest". The royal oak stands near this spring .
The Gutenbach then crosses a couple of ponds and the so-called Schäfer-Weiher and flows in a pipe in Salchendorf for about 140 m. After another 90 m, it flows into the Wildebach at a height of around 281 m . The "Hell", a foothills of the "Hofstätter Forest" separates the Gutenbachtal from the Arbachtal .
