Gwenaëlle Aubry (born April 2, 1971 ) is a French philosopher and writer.

Life

Gwenaëlle Aubry is the daughter of law professor François-Xavier Aubry, the parents separated when she was five years old, he died in 2006. Her sister is Émilie Aubry . Aubry attended the École normal supérieure (ENS) in Paris and Trinity College in Cambridge . She studied philosophy at the Sorbonne ( Paris IV ) and received her doctorate. She then carried out research in Cambridge, Pisa and the Ivory Coast, in Rome she received a 2005 scholarship at the Villa Medici . She taught philosophy at the University of Nancy and at the Sorbonne. She works at the Center Jean Pépin and at the ENS Paris. Aubry translated Plotinus and wrote several articles on the history of philosophy.

Aubry published her first novel in 1999. In person , she describes the relationship with her father, for the novel she received the Prix Femina in 2009 .
