history

In the summer of 2014, the Thun Seefeld and Thun Schadau grammar schools merged to form the Thun grammar school with two locations, after the merger was decided by the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern in November 2013. Both previous schools can look back on a rich history. One thing they had in common was the pioneering achievement in the introduction of bilingual teaching with regard to the bilingual Matura (in English and French, now also in Italian) at the end of the 1990s.

In 2017 the school decided to carry out the lessons in digital form.

Educational offer
