The Neutraubling grammar school is a state grammar school in Neutraubling in the Regensburg district . The school has a linguistic and a scientific-technological branch. The grammar school is currently attended by approx. 1370 students, making it one of the largest grammar schools in Upper Palatinate . Around 100 teachers currently teach at the school (as of 2017).
history
The Neutraubling grammar school was founded in 1974 as the first grammar school in the Regensburg district , making it one of the many new foundations of the social-liberal decade, which, true to the motto "Dare more democracy" ( Willy Brandt ), are an expression of the effort to enable equal opportunities in education in rural areas . The school building has been enlarged several times to accommodate the growing number of students. In July 2003 the 47th Theater Days of the Bavarian grammar schools took place at the Neutraubling grammar school . In 2004 the school building was expanded once more with so-called modules. There, in addition to eight new classrooms, a lecture room levels, the students were the Kollegstufe used to spend their leisure hours. The modular building was removed in spring 2008. In addition, the construction of a new extension began in the summer of 2006 and was completed in the summer of 2007. It houses specialist rooms for physics, a school canteen and classroom rooms.
Since September 2012 there is also an all-day class.

The grammar school maintains close exchange relationships with schools in Dublin and Yssingeaux .
Since 2004, one of the fifth classes has been set up as a so-called wind class , in which every student learns a wind instrument. Since it was founded, the grammar school has had its own peep box stage and a lively school theater culture that was made possible by colleagues Kurt Kauk (d. 2009) and Evelyn Rebentrost. In the interests of climate protection and solar funding, a group of teachers founded the Association for Climate Protection and Solar Funding at the Gymnasium Neutraubling e. V. founded. A photovoltaic system has been in operation on the roof of the school since 1996 . The system size is now more than ten times as large.
Every year there is a social and fasting campaign for the benefit of the partner school of the Neutraubling grammar school in Jalalabad , Afghanistan .

Catering
Students can order lunch via a terminal in the school or via the Internet. The catering service then issues the number of meals ordered on the desired date.
