Gudrun Pawelke
Gudrun Pawelke (* 1969 in Mainz ) is a German designer , cultural communicator and author . She lives and works in Berlin.
Professional background
Gudrun Pawelke studied visual communication at the University of Kassel (1989–1991) and at the State University of Design Karlsruhe (1991–1994) at the Center for Art and Media Technology in Karlsruhe as well as philosophy and aesthetics with Peter Sloterdijk . She graduated from Gunter Rambow and Kurt Weidemann . In 1992 she was artistic advisor for the German Day of Expo Seville . Since 2002 she has been teaching at the University of Essen , where she led the research project “BalanceAkt”. She has been teaching at the Miami Ad School Berlin since 2012. She writes for specialist magazines and regularly gives lectures and workshops at home and abroad.
Pawelke works freelance for theaters, publishers and institutions from the arts and education sector: u. a. Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Federal Ministry of the Interior , Hamburger Abendblatt , Audi AG, ARD , Junge Akademie , Berliner Theatertreffen 2012. She also develops and designs book concepts for publishers such as the Gutenberg Book Guild , Hanser Verlag , Hatje Cantz , Bertelsmann Offizin and Manesse Verlag .
