Héctor Manuel Rivera Pérez

Héctor Manuel Rivera Pérez (born May 15, 1933 in Naranjito , † April 9, 2019 in Carolina ) was a Puerto Rican clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in San Juan de Puerto Rico .

Life

Héctor Manuel Rivera Pérez was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of San Juan de Puerto Rico on June 12, 1966 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in San Juan de Puerto Rico and titular bishop of Thubunae in Numidia on June 11, 1979 . The episcopal consecration donated the Archbishop of San Juan de Puerto Rico, Luis Cardinal Aponte Martínez , on August 17th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Rafael Grovas Felix , Bishop of Caguas , and Miguel Rodriguez Rodriguez CSsR , Bishop of Arecibo .
