Helio da Silva
Hélio da Silva ( Hélio Coutinho da Silva; born December 2, 1923 ) is a former Brazilian sprinter and triple jumper .
At the Olympic Games in London in 1948 , he was eleventh in the triple jump and was eliminated over 100 m and in the 4 x 100 meter relay in the preliminary run.
In 1949 in Lima he was South American champion in the triple jump. At the Pan American Games in 1951 he won silver in the triple jump and was fourth in the 100 m.
In 1952 he won at the South American Championships in Athletics in Buenos Aires in the pole vault . In the triple jump he won bronze at the 1953 International Summer University Sports Week in Dortmund and silver at the 1954 South American Championships in São Paulo .
