The Höch tower , also called Höchturm , is 2666  m above sea level. M. high mountain in the Schwyz Alps in the Swiss canton of Schwyz .

Location and surroundings

The Höch Turm is located in the southern part of the canton of Schwyz in the municipality of Muotathal . It is the highest mountain in a mountain range that separates the Glattalp with the Glattalpsee ( 1853  m above sea level ) from the Charetalp . The next higher mountain is 2717  m above sea level. M. high Ortstock , which is about 1 km southeast. Ortstock and Höch tower are through the 2395  m above sea level. M. high pass Furggele , which connects the Glattalp with the Linth valley.

Routes to the summit

From the Glattalphütte ( 1896  m above sea level ) an alpine hike with difficulty level T6 on the SAC hiking scale takes four to five hours over the west ridge to the summit of the Höch Turm. An ascent from the Ortstockhaus ( 1772  m above sea level ) is also possible in five hours . Climbing tours are also possible.
