Thomas Höneckl (born October 10, 1989 in Schwarzach im Pongau ) is an Austrian ice hockey goalkeeper who was last under contract with the EC Graz 99ers in the Austrian ice hockey league .

Career

Thomas Höneckl went through the various youth teams of the EC Red Bull Salzburg and made his debut in the 2004/05 season in the farm team of the club, which is active in the National League , the second highest Austrian division. His first backup assignment in the Bundesliga came just a year later, and he played his first game in the 2007/08 season . He came to several missions the following year, when the first goalkeeper Jordan Parise injured, and he played six games with the team and lost only one in overtime. In the farm team, Höneckl was able to prevail against Thomas Innerwinkler in recent years and achieved the runner-up title with the team in the 2007/08 season. In April 2012 he switched to the EC VSV within the EBEL .

On December 21, 2012 he scored his first goal (Empty-Net) in the game EC VSV against HC Innsbruck .

For the 2015/16 season he switched to the Graz 99ers within the EBEL .
