The Hüenerbach in Giessentobel

The Hüenerbach is a 4 km long right tributary of the Kempt in the Swiss canton of Zurich . The stream drains a section of the Kempttal region in the Zurich Oberland and flows through the Giessentobel .

geography

course

The Hüenerbach springs culverts in the almost completely covered by forest angel Sacher at 654  m above sea level. M. north of Agasul and southeast of First a little above the valley of the Wissenbach . Below the Engelsacherweg in the Hasenrütirain corridor , the brook comes to the surface for the first time and initially flows in several arcs to the south through the Hard forest area . Here it takes on a small right source stream, and after crossing under the Hasenrütiweg another. Before crossing under the Mantelweg there is a small wetland area on the left bank. This is followed by the crossing of the Rütiweg , after which the Hüenerbach takes in the Rütibächli from the right and the Hardbächli from the left in the Rüti corridor .

The stream then turns to the southwest and forms immediately afterwards a small ravine between the Mantelweg and the Hardstrigelweg to Weiler Agasul . It crosses under Luckhauserstrasse and is overturned briefly before it runs between the Hofacher and Engi corridors on the western boundary of Agasul. It turns to the southeast and, after crossing under the Sennwisbächliweg , takes up the Sennenwisbächli from the right, which rises a little west of the Hüenerbach source. Shortly afterwards, the Brauibächli flows from the left , which is completely overturned . The Hüenerbach now runs on the eastern slope of the Büel hill and we are accompanied here by a narrow but dense population of bushes and trees that extends to the Neuguet corridor . As the brook turns to the south-west, the vegetation changes to a small wood, in which it has eaten the southern slope of the hill.

The Hüenerbach passes the Schömlet farm a little to the south, where the Bruggenrietgraben flows into the Bruggenriet from the left, which rises in the Waldried Brestberg nature reserve . After crossing under the Schomletstrasse , he reaches a larger forest area, which is up to 578  m above sea level. M. high Schüsselberg extends. At the beginning it forms a small ravine between the Drumlin Höchi and the Ripeschbüel , before the Zelgligraben joins from the left . The stream now forms the Giessentobel on the north slope of the Schüsselberg, which it initially flows through in several small arcs, mainly in a north-westerly direction.

The confluence of the Dikibach (left) into the Hüenerbach in Giessentobel

He takes the from the nature reserve Waldried Weid herkommende Tätschtobelbächli on and an unnamed tributary of the left. Immediately afterwards, poured out from the right from Tätschtobel herkommende Dick Ibach , the longest tributary of the Hüenerbachs.

After its confluence, the stream turns to the southwest and passes the artificial Sagi pond , which is fed by the Hüenerbach. The stream reaches the Kempttal near the Soorhalden industrial area in Illnau and passes under Hauptstrasse 345 ( Kempttalstrasse ). Finally the Hüenerbach flows out at 500  m above sea level. M. from the right and north-northeast into the middle course of the Kempt, which flows here to the northwest.
