The HSG Gedern / Nidda is a handball community of the two Hessian clubs TV Gedern and TV Nidda. The association was founded on June 16, 2000.

The first women's team played in the 2nd handball Bundesliga in the 2018/19 season . The first game in the second division on September 8, 2018 at BSV Sachsen Zwickau ended with a 28:33 away defeat.
