Girls Day

As more and more girls are interested in technical professions, a Girls Day has been held every year for some time.

17th international sports tournament

An international school sport event has been taking place since 2001. The 17th International Sports Tournament of European Schools took place from 03.04. to 07.04.2017 in Weiz and Gleisdorf . More than 500 students from seven different countries competed against each other. The organization and planning was recorded in a diploma thesis by students from the HTL-Weiz, from which a separate app was developed to keep everyone up to date with the status of the points and information. The participating schools came from Spain , Italy , Croatia , Poland , Slovenia , France and Austria . The host schools were: HAK, HLW, HTL and BG / BRG Weiz as well as BG / BRG Gleisdorf. Disciplines: volleyball , handball , soccer , badminton , basketball . Each women's and men's competition.

Awards

Austrian Ecolabel : The Higher Technical College in Weiz was awarded the Austrian Ecolabel for the first time in 2003. In the meantime, further audits have taken place regularly.
Most innovative school in Styria: As part of the Jugend Innovativ competition, HTL Weiz was awarded the title of most innovative school in Styria for the fifth time in 2017.
MINT seal of approval: On May 2, 2017, the HTL Weiz was awarded the MINT seal of approval in the House of Industry in Vienna.
