The Haardtrand - Wolfsteig nature reserve is located in the southern Weinstrasse district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The 56.15 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection by ordinance of December 8, 1989 , extends west of the local community of Pleisweiler-Oberhofen . The Hirtenbach flows directly on the southern edge, and the B 48 runs to the east .

It is an area with a diverse usage pattern consisting of vineyards of different management intensity, fruit plots, bush and fringing biotopes , forest and forest edge areas, dry stone walls and vineyard terraces .
