The Hachindar Chhish is a mountain in the Batura Muztagh , a part of the Karakoram .

location

The Hachindar Chhish reaches a height of 6870  m (according to other sources 7163  m ). It is located on a ridge that branches off at Batura I from the so-called "Batura Wall" to the south-southwest. Sangemarmar Sar is located 8.56 km east-southeast . In between, the Machuhar Glacier runs south. To the west of the Hachindar Chhish, the Baltar Glacier runs to the southwest.

Ascent history

The first ascent of Hachindar Chhish was achieved on August 4, 1982 by a Japanese rope team from the Machuhar glacier over the east face. This expedition had the following members: Yasuyuki Higashi, Kenji Yoshida, Toshikazu Saito, Kensaku Sakai, Tatsuya Takinami, Kenichi Kimura and Kiyoshi Hayami
