Hagenau is a church village and a hamlet in the district Mulhouse the community Mengkofen in Dingolfing-Landau in Bavaria .

The place borders in the west on Ginhart , in the south on Birket , in the north on Pramersbuch and in the east on Süßkofen .

The townscape is determined by the tower of the Catholic branch church St. Leonhard.

According to the last census on May 25, 1987, the village had 89 inhabitants in 25 buildings with living space or 26 apartments.

According to the statistics of Joseph von Hazzi on the Duchy of Baiern from 1808, the village with 19 houses and just as many hearths belonged to the Rimbach chairmanship in the Lengthall office .

Hagenau originally belonged to the community of Süsskofen , which was incorporated into Mengkofen on May 1, 1978. Ecclesiastically it initially belonged to the parish of Steinbach . Currently it is a branch of the parish Hofdorf .
