The Hainröder Bach , more rarely Teichbach, is a right tributary of the Teichbach in the western Hainleite in the Nordhausen district in Northern Thuringia .

geography

The Hainröder Bach rises in the wooded nature reserve Westliche Hainleite, in the pond valley known as a local recreation area, southwest of Hainrode . It is dammed not far from its source in the "first" pond. This is the forest pool. Its water then reaches the second pond via a cascade , where you can do a few laps in a rowboat. The third and last pond on its upper course is increasingly silting up and is of no interest as a tourist attraction. Further down the stream, leaving the Teichtal behind, it flows through the eponymous Hainrode. Then it flows through arable land towards the north, to flow into the Teichbach in the hamlet of Hünstein , which belongs to Bleicherode .

The Hainröder Bach is sometimes called the Teichbach, just like its estuary. This is due to the fact that it flows through the touristic well-known Teichtal with its originally 3 ponds. Yet other maps show the Hainröder Bach as the upper course of the Teichbach flowing into the Wipper, the source of which, however, is near Friedrichslohra .
