Hal Sutherland

Hal Sutherland (born 1. July 1929 in Cambridge , Massachusetts ; died 16th January 2014 ) was an American animated film - artist and - Director .

Career

Sutherland began his career at Disney in 1954 , where he worked as a draftsman on the films Peter Pan , Lady and the Tramp and Sleeping Beauty , among others . In the late 1960s, he moved to the newly founded animation film studio Filmation , where he began to work as a director of animated films and series. For Filmation , he has worked on A Job for Superman and an adaptation of the comic book Aquaman , among others , and directed the first sixteen episodes of The Enterprise . In 1974 he retired from Filmation . He died on January 16, 2014.
