Halang mill

Halangmühle , Halankojc Młyn in Lower Sorbian , is a residential area belonging to the district of Lubochow in the municipality of New Zealand in the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district in the south of Brandenburg . The settlement belongs to the Altdöbern office .

location

The Halangmühle is located in Niederlausitz , around seven kilometers northeast of Großräschen and 23 kilometers as the crow flies southwest of Cottbus . Surrounding villages are Kunersdorf in the north, Lubochow in the northeast, Leeskow in the south and Woschkow in the west. The Halangmühle is located on the Cunersdorfer Fließ .

history

The Halangmühle was first mentioned in the Schenk Atlas in 1757 . It was originally operated as a watermill and has always been part of Lubochow administratively. Around 1840 the single settlement had six inhabitants. The mill was stopped around 1930. After that, the buildings stood empty for a while until the main building was converted into a residential building in 1995. Since the incorporation of Lubochow on February 1, 2002, the Halangmühle has been a residential area of ​​the municipality of New Zealand .
