Sheikh Hamdan bin Muhammad bin Raschid Al Maktum ( Arabic حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم; * November 14, 1982 ) is the Hereditary Prince of Dubai and the second eldest son of Sheikh Muhammad bin Raschid Al Maktum .

education

Hamdan began his education at the Rashid School For Boys . After attending the Sandhurst Royal Military Academy in Great Britain , he attended some economic training programs at the London School of Economics and the Dubai School of Government .

Roles and positions

On February 1, 2008, he was named Hereditary Prince of Dubai by his father . As Hereditary Prince, he appointed economist John Calverley and hedge fund tycoon James T. Naeem of HN Capital LLP as his personal advisors. He is also the chairman of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders and the Dubai Sports Council.

Sheikh Hamdan is also known as an athlete in endurance riding . Internationally, he has the following successes in the individual evaluation:

  • Gold medal at the Pan-Arab Games 2011 with Muhannad in Qatar
  • Gold medal at the World Endurance Championships 2012 in Euston Park ( United Kingdom ) with Jsas
