The nature reserve Hammelsberg and Atzbüsch bei Perl is located in the municipality of Perl in the Merzig-Wadern district in Saarland .

The 224 hectare area , consisting of four sub-areas, which was placed under nature protection by ordinance of 9 May 2016 under the identification NSG-N-6504-301 , extends east of the core town of Perl. The state road L 170 runs through the northern part of the area , not far to the northwest, north and northeast is the A 8 . The Moselle flows to the west and the border with France runs along the southern edge .
