Hammerstetten is a district of the municipality of Kammeltal in the Swabian district of Günzburg ( Bavaria ).

The church village is located in the Kammeltal in the north of the municipality, about four and a half kilometers north of Ettenbeuren . In the east the Kammel touches the place, coming from the west the Stubenweiherbach crosses the place and flows into the Kammel. Hammerstetten can be reached via the GZ 15 district road.

On January 1, 1971, Hammerstetten was incorporated into the municipality of Wettenhausen as part of the municipal reform , on July 1, 1972 Wettenhausen was merged with other municipalities to form the newly founded municipality of Kammeltal.
