Keuschlingen is a hamlet in the municipality of Kammeltal in the Swabian district of Günzburg .

location

Keuschlingen is the southernmost place in the municipality of Kammeltal. The hamlet is located on the local road between Neuburg an der Kammel and Behlingen west of the Kammel .

history

Like Behlingen, Keuschlingen was part of the imperial fiefdom of Neuburg an der Kammel , which over time was ruled by the following noble families: Weißenhorn-Neuffen (1209–1347), Ellerbach (1348–1458), Rechberg zu Hohenrechberg (1460–1524) and Vöhlin v . Frickenhausen (1524-1806);

In 1806, the place, like the entire rule Neuburg an der Kammel and the entire area between Iller and Lech, became part of Bavaria .

Until 1972 Keuschlingen was part of the municipality of Behlingen in the district of Krumbach (Swabia) . When the district was dissolved as part of the regional reform in Bavaria , the municipality of Behlingen, like most of the municipalities in the Krumbach district, became part of the Günzburg district . When Behlingen and the neighboring community of Ried , which also belonged to the Krumbach district, merged on July 1, 1972 with five communities also located in the Kammeltal , which belonged to the former Günzburg district, to form the community of Kammeltal , Keuschlingen also became part of this new community.
