Hanna Haering

Hanna Haering (born December 9, 1939 ) is a German table tennis player . She took part in the 1959 World Cup and the 1962 European Championship.

Haering began her career at the DJK Schweinfurt club . In 1958 she became Bavarian Junior Champion, a year later she won the German university championship. Together with her sister Valerie, she won the Bavarian championship in doubles in 1963 and 1967 . In 1957 she won the mixed title with Josef Seiz at this competition .

In 1959 she was nominated for the individual competitions of the World Cup in Dortmund. She lost in the first round in singles against Choe (Korea) and in doubles with Brigitta Terbeznik against Mavis Van Gelder / Claudine Collignon (Belgium).

She was more successful at the 1962 European Championship in West Berlin. Here she won the singles against Nota Kotsia (Greece) and Lis Ramberg (Denmark), only to fail in the round of 16 against Edith Steinke . In doubles with Inge Natterer , she first defeated the Yugoslavs Cirila Pirc / Cadez, but then lost to the Berliners Anita Haacke / Edith Steinke. The mixed with Horst Thein reached the third round through victories over Fernando Huecas / Ana Maria Navarro (Spain) and Hugo Urchetti / Franziska Hassler (Switzerland), where the Germans Erich Arndt / Edit Buchholz were too strong.

Around 1970 Hanna married Haering and then appeared under the name Bergwelt-Haering .
