Brigitta Terbeznik

Brigitta Terbeznik (born February 6, 1936 in Schwandorf ; † July 10, 2013 in Regensburg ) was a German table tennis player . She took part in the 1959 World Cup.

Career

Terbeznik began her career at DJK Schwandorf, later switched to TSV Schwandorf, played in the 1955/56 season at TSV Arzberg (Upper Franconia) and in 1957 joined Tuspo Bayreuth, later BSV Bayreuth. With his women's team, she was champion of the Bayern League in 1975 and rose to the 2nd Bundesliga . Here, however, the direct descent could not be avoided. In 1982 she moved to ASV Fronberg, where she ended her active career in the national league in 1985.

In 1958 she won the Bavarian championship in singles. In 1959 she was nominated for the individual competitions of the World Cup in Dortmund. Here she was eliminated in the first round: In singles against Birthe Hauth (Denmark), in doubles with Hanna Haering against Mavis Van Gelder / Claudine Collignon (Belgium) and in mixed with Donald Rincones (Venezuela) against Steinar Bruvik / Berit Ommedal ( Norway).

Private

In 1962 Brigitta Terbeznik married Georg Stöckl and then played under the name Brigitta Stöckl . She had a son (* 1964) and a daughter (* 1966). In 2013 she died as a result of a traffic accident.
