Hannah von Hübbenet

Hannah von Hübbenet (born November 11, 1981 in Berlin ) is a German musician and film composer .

Life

Hannah von Hübbenet grew up in Berlin. From the age of eight she received violin and piano lessons and later played in ensembles such as the Landesjugendorchester Berlin, before devoting herself more to playing and writing her own music. In 2001 she recorded the first record in London with her then band Cocoon. Inspired by her studio work, she has since focused her work on composing and producing film music and found the freedom to move between musical styles regardless of genre. She completed a music degree with a major in violin at the Berlin University of the Arts , followed by a degree in film music and sound design at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy .

Von Hübbenet's classic background combined with a preference for electronic sounds can be heard over and over again in her music. Films with their music ran and were nominated at the Berlinale, Film Festival Max Ophüls Prize, Zurich Film Festival, DOK Leipzig, DOK.fest Munich, German Business Film Prize, Achtung Berlin Film Festival, Vittorio Veneto Film Festival, Utah Film Award and Hot docs Toronto.

The artist lives and works in Berlin and Hamburg .
