Hannes Flaschberger , also Johannes Flaschberger (born 1952 in Hermagor ) is an Austrian actor .

Life

Flaschberger describes his motivation as follows:

“It was a decisive experience. In 1968 I became seriously ill with a nervous disease that led to four months of paralysis. I then had to learn everything to do with motor skills from scratch. The illness was decisive, either to study medicine or to prove to myself what I can do with my body, so to go in the direction of pantomime. It became both. After five years of medical studies, I went to Paris to learn pantomime with Marcel Marceau . "

He completed his training as a mime artist with Marcel Marceau in Paris at the École Internationale de Mimodrame and in Barcelona at the Institut del Teatre as well as an acting training with Philippe Gaulier in Paris. First engagements led him a. a. to the Schauspielhaus Wien ( The Sound of Music ), to the Vienna Volkstheater in the districts ( Molly Sweeny ), to the Theater in the Drachengasse in Vienna ( Top Dogs ), to the Klagenfurt Ensemble ( Das Spitzweg Project ) and to the Theater Gruppe 80 ( Zur Schöne Aussicht ).

Since 1993 he works regularly in London with the Théâtre de Complicité of Simon McBurney together. He toured England with Othello of the Royal Shakespeare Company and appeared in the production of Hideki's Red Demon Akaoni at the Young Vic in London and at the Bunkamura Theater in Tokyo. In London he also played at the Albery Theater in the junk opera Shockheaded Peter by Phelim McDermott , Julian Crouch and Martyn Jaques , at the National Theater in Brecht's Mother Courage and Her Children and at the Arcola Theater in Snoo Wilson's Reclining Nude with Black Stockings . At the Stadttheater Klagenfurt he took on a leading role in Jonke's Sunken Cathedral , directed by Dominique Schnitzer . At the Salzburg Festival he has played the thin cousin in Jedermann since 2013 .

In addition to his stage appearances, Flaschberger was also regularly seen in film and television; u. a. in the crime series Der Bulle von Tölz , as well as in the feature films Ludwig van B. - My immortal beloved (director: Bernard Rose ) and in Bridget Jones - At the edge of madness (director: Beeban Kidron ).
