Hannes Haslecker (born April 18, 1921 in Linz ; † June 18, 2012 ) was an Austrian sculptor .
Live and act
Haslecker studied from 1936 to 1940 at the Federal College for Wood Sculpture in Hallstatt under Scherrer and from 1949 to 1956 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under Fritz Wotruba .
He was a member of the artist group MAERZ and from 1954 to 1962 of the Vienna Secession . From 1970 he initiated and directed the Mauthausen Symposium with the participation of international artists.
He lived and worked for many years as a freelance artist in Lachstadt near Steyregg and Altmünster, where he also spent his old age.
