Hans-Georg Andreae

Hans-Georg Andreae (born January 26, 1934 in Munich ; † June 25, 2014 in Neuburg an der Donau ) was a German agricultural functionary and farmer .

Life

In the fifth generation of the family, Andreae managed the Sulz estate, which belongs to him and is located in the municipality of Münster in the Donau-Ries district , about 5 km south of the town of Rain . He was a qualified farmer and took over the farm in 1958 from his mother, who continued to run it after his father's early death. Andreae restructured the farm from a mixed farm to a pure arable farm. In 2004, in which he gave the company to his son gave it farmed 160 ha .

Andreae volunteered in a variety of ways. In 1970 he was elected deputy chairman of the regional association of Bavarian seed grain producers' associations. He held this office until 1974, when he was elected chairman of the same, which he remained until 1990. From 1985 he was on the board of the Association of Bavarian Sugar Beet Growers. From 1993 to 2000 he was chairman of the Association of South German Sugar Beet Growers. From 1992 to 2000 he was a member of the supervisory board of Südzucker AG , of which he was chairman from 1993. From 1994 to 2002 he was chairman of the entire board and later of the coordinating advisory board of the Sugar Economic Association. In the Raiffeisenbank Rain am Lech was 1969-1994 chairman. He was an honorary judge at the Federal Court of Justice in Karlsruhe.
