Hans-Georg Bock

Hans-Georg Bock (born October 9, 1909 in Rastenburg ( East Prussia ), † September 20, 1990 ) was a German lawyer .

School and study

As the son of the senior teacher Wilhelm Bock , he attended the Collegium Fridericianum in Königsberg and the Royal Lyck High School . After graduating from high school, he studied law at the University of Greifswald , the University of Innsbruck , the Philipps University of Marburg and the Albertus University of Königsberg . In 1932 he passed the legal traineeship at the Königsberg Higher Regional Court . After holding positions in Treuburg , Lyck and Königsberg, he passed the assessor examination at the Higher Regional Court . He then worked at various courts in East Prussia and in Zittau / Upper Lusatia . In 1939 Bock was appointed district court advisor and soon afterwards district court director.

Profession and social offices

At the Second World War Bock participated as an officer in January 1943 he became a member of the 6th Army in Stalingrad in Soviet captivity from which he was released 1949th

Until 1960 he worked in various functions as a judge, then as a public prosecutor. From May 1966 until his retirement in 1974 he was President of the Hanover Regional Court . In 1974 the East Prussian state representation elected him as the successor to Joachim Freiherr von Braun as spokesman (federal chairman) of the East Prussian Landsmannschaft . In 1979 he resigned for reasons of age and was succeeded by his proposed State Secretary Ottfried Hennig . In the same year 1979 he was awarded the Prussian shield.
