Hans-Jürgen Döring

Hans-Jürgen Döring (born June 3, 1951 in Magdeburg ; † April 29, 2017 ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and from 1990 to 2014 a member of the Thuringian state parliament .

Life and work

Hans-Jürgen Döring was married and had one child and three grandchildren. After graduating from high school, he studied at the University of Education in Magdeburg ( incorporated into the University of Magdeburg after reunification ) and graduated in 1974 as a graduate teacher for sport and German. He then worked as a teacher in Hundeshagen until 1989 . Until 1990 he was briefly headmaster in Bektiven and Hundeshagen.

Hans-Jürgen Döring joined the SPD in January 1990. In the same year he became a member of the first Thuringian state parliament , to which he belonged for five electoral terms. He was education, culture and media policy spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group. From 1998 to 1999 he held the office of Vice President of the Thuringian Parliament. He did not run for the 2014 state election .

Political and social functions

In addition to his work in the Thuringian state parliament, Hans-Jürgen Döring was a member of the Eichsfeld district assembly , he was also a member of the board of trustees of the Thuringian State Agency for Civic Education and Chairman of the Thuringian Writers' Association.
