Hans-Jürgen Zimmermann (born August 2, 1947 - February 5, 2017 ) was a German painter , sculptor and Freemason .

Hans-Jürgen Zimmermann worked from 1977 to 1998 in his studio in the kitchen garden pavilion on Lindener Berg . One of the three ritual pillars in the Freemason's lodge Friedrich zum White Pferde , which the artist created together with the sculptors Klaus Müller-Goulbier and WP Eberhard Eggers , dates from this time .

Art in public space by Zimmermann can be found, for example, as the bronze figure of Grandma Duhnsen, solemnly unveiled on May 29, 1999 in the presence of those depicted in front of the market hall in Hanover.

In the 21st century, the artist offered private painting courses in his studio in the Hanoverian district of Kleefeld at Kirchröder Strasse 54 in front of the Nackenberg cemetery .

A burial of the urn at the Stöcken city cemetery in Hanover was announced in an obituary notice on February 24, 2017.
