Hans-Karl von Scheele

Hans-Karl Gustav Julius Fritz von Scheele (born May 23, 1892 in Magdeburg , † October 8, 1955 in Hildesheim ) was a German officer , most recently a general of the infantry in World War II .

Life

origin

His parents were the Prussian lieutenant colonel Albert Georg von Scheele (* May 18, 1851 - December 31, 1913) and his wife Ida Conradine Genthe (* January 17, 1867 - March 25, 1941).

Military career

Scheele served as an officer in the First World War . After the war he was accepted into the Reichswehr and served in various units. He led the 208th Infantry Division as commander in World War II . Later in the war, Scheele headed the LII as commanding general . Army Corps .

From his appointment on November 1, 1944 until the end of the war, Scheele was President of the Reich Court Martial .

Scheele married Annemarie Lueder on October 7, 1919 (born September 28, 1898). The couple had at least one daughter.
