Hans-Peter Dabrowski (born August 10, 1946 in Hanover ) is a German editor and non-fiction book - author on the history of aviation, especially in Germany in the period from 1919 to 1945.

Life

Hans-Peter Dabrowski was born into a family from Poznan in the post-war period as the son of a housewife and a metalworker in a repair shop of the Deutsche Reichsbahn . After completing school, he initially trained as a typesetter , before doing his military service in the Air Force after being rearmed .

After his marriage in 1968 and the birth of his daughter in 1969, he switched to the newspaper industry, where he worked as a production editor.

Dabrowski, who has been interested in aviation since childhood, was able to take part in almost every international aviation exhibition held there thanks to his residence in the capital of Lower Saxony . After initially enjoying making miniature model airplanes, he began researching the history of aviation, especially in Germany, where the biplane was further developed through to jet aircraft between 1919 and 1945 . As a result, Dabrowski published numerous articles on the subjects of model making and aviation since 1986, some of which were translated into other languages by Schiffer Verlag . Other writings by Dabrowski in the Podzun-Pallas-Verlag are part of the series Das Waffen-Arsenal .
