Hans-Robert Bortfeldt

Hans-Robert Bortfeldt (born September 22, 1905 in Hamburg , † May 30, 1955 in Berlin ) was a German director .

Life

Until 1938, Hans-Robert Bortfeldt worked at the Kammerspiele in his hometown of Hamburg as a dramaturge, actor and director as well as an employee of Erich Ziegel . Then he went to Berlin to become a music dramaturge at Tobis . A year later he started at UFA to work as an assistant director and devote himself to the subject of scripts. After the war he dubbed Soviet films. In May 1946, Hans-Robert Bortfeldt was appointed head of the theater department in the newly formed art department at the Berlin magistrate and then deputy director at the Deutsches Theater . On August 23, 1948, as general manager, he took over the keys to the newly built German National Theater in Weimar , where he had been working for a long time. In March 1950, Hans-Robert Bortfeldt was appointed chief dramaturge by the DEFA board of directors. From 1953 he worked at the Maxim-Gorki-Theater in Berlin, where he played a major role as the deputy artistic director. On Whit Monday 1955, Hans-Robert Bortfeldt died at the age of 49 as a result of an operation.

Hans-Robert Bortfeldt was the brother of the actress Freca-Renate Bortfeldt , with whom he worked together at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg in the 1930s .
