Hans-Werner Müller

Hans-Werner Müller (born September 3, 1942 in Nunkirchen ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and was Secretary General of UEAPME , the European Union for the craft and small and medium-sized enterprises.

Life

After graduating from high school, Müller first completed an apprenticeship in mechanical engineering, then studied business administration and graduated in 1967. From 1967 to 1976 he was a teacher at a business school . In 1976 he obtained a master craftsman's certificate in mechanical engineering. Since 1972 he was a partner in his father's toolmaking company, which he ran from 1976 after his death.

Hans-Werner Müller first came in 1976 as a deputy in the German Bundestag and remained above 5 election periods, a total of 18 years until 1994 MP . From 1977 to 1979, before the first direct election to the European Parliament, he was also a member of the European Parliament as a representative elected by the Bundestag .

From 1992 to 2007, as Secretary General, he coordinated and organized the activities of UEAPME, the European umbrella association for the skilled trades and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Brussels, which represents the interests of around 8 million companies in the European Union.

Hans Werner Müller is married and has two children. He has his main residence in Saarland .
