Hans Achenbach (legal scholar)

Hans Achenbach (born October 13, 1941 in Hameln ) is a German legal scholar and professor of criminal law , criminal procedural law , commercial and tax criminal law at the University of Osnabrück .

Life

He studied law in Göttingen and received his doctorate in 1972 in Munich to Dr jur. From 1973 to 1978 Achenbach was a research assistant to Claus Roxin at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . After his first professorship in Bochum (1978 to 1980), Achenbach became the first professor and founding dean of the law faculty at the University of Osnabrück in 1980/81 , where he taught until his retirement on September 30, 2005. From 2008 to 2010 Achenbach was a member of the inter-ministerial working group “Cartel Code Offenses” of the Federal Ministries for Economics, Technology and Justice , which met at the Federal Cartel Office in Bonn .

Achenbach is, among other things, co-author of the Frankfurt Commentary on the Law against Restraints of Competition , the Alternative Commentary on the Code of Criminal Procedure , editor and co-author of the advisory manual on tax and commercial criminal law (with Wolfgang Wannemacher) and the manual on commercial criminal law (with Andreas Ransiek ).
