Hans Borner

Hans Börner (born August 15, 1927 in Dresden ; † June 7, 2006 ) was a German composer , cantor and conductor .

Live and act

Hans Börner studied at the University of Music and Theater in Leipzig with Johannes Weyrauch and Wilhelm Weismann a . a. Church music, composition and organ. In Leipzig he conducted a. a. the university choir. After graduating, he got a job as a cantor at the St. Petri Church in Dresden , where, in addition to regular church service, he held the choir and thus concerts and the like. a. conducted with Peter Schreier , Theo Adam and members of the Dresden Orchestra. After additional studies at the Academy of Music Carl Maria von Weber Dresden with Eva Ander (piano) and Rudolf Neuhaus (conducting), he worked as the chief rep of the State Opera Ballet at the Semperoper . At the Musikhochschule Dresden he taught in the ballet accompaniment course, which he had a major influence on.

From his marriage to the flautist and university professor Ruth Börner, b. Hegewald had two daughters, including the violinist Annette Unger .

Compositions

Börner composed works for flute, recorder, violin, vocals, chamber music and orchestra. His works have been performed in Germany, Austria, Korea, Switzerland a. a. at the Semperoper Dresden, with the orchestra of the Landesbühnen Sachsen, at the Verein der Musikfreunde Wien as well as at festivals and competitions, etc. a. at the Szymon Goldberg Competition. His works were published a. a. in the German publishing house for music Leipzig.
