Hans Bahrdt

Hans Robert Bahrdt (born April 7, 1877 in Leipzig , † December 18, 1953 in Dresden ) was a German pediatrician in Dresden. He dealt with the metabolism and breathing of the infant .

Life

After graduating from the Thomas School in Leipzig , Bahrdt began studying medicine at the Georg-August University in Göttingen in 1896 . In 1897 he was reciprocated with Wolfgang Heubner in the Corps Bremensia . As an inactive , he moved to the Philipps University of Marburg and the University of Leipzig . In Leipzig he was in 1902 approved and MD PhD . After assistant doctor positions at the Medical Polyclinic of the University Hospital Marburg and the University Hospital Leipzig , Bahrdt worked at the Kaiserin-Auguste-Viktoria-Haus from 1909 to combat infant mortality in the German Empire . There he was in 1911 Specialist for pediatrics and senior physician . From 1912 to 1914 he was editor of the Zentralblatt für Kinderheilkunde .

In 1917, Barth moved to Dresden, where he became head of the Dresden municipal nursery . In 1918 he was appointed professor . Barth played a key role in the planning and construction of the new children's clinic at the Dresden-Johannstadt City Hospital . He gave up the management of the clinic in 1947, but headed the children's department of the Polyclinic in Trachau for another year and a half .
