Hans Brückmann

Hans Brückmann (born October 13, 1897 in Linnich ; † July 5, 1979 in Düren) was the city ​​director of Düren from 1948 to 1962 .

Brückmann passed his Abitur at the humanistic grammar school in Jülich . He studied 1918-1921 jurisprudence . In 1925 he received his doctorate as Dr. jur. at the University of Cologne .

In Neukirchen-Vluyn and Kettwig , Brückmann was mayor from 1922 to 1924 . During this time he was also deputy district administrator in Kempen . In 1928 he became legal advisor to the city ​​administration in Düsseldorf . In 1934 he became an alderman for the school department .

On July 23, 1948, Hans Brückmann was elected senior city director of Düren. He took up this position on August 18, 1948. His term of office ended on October 31, 1962. Hans Brückmann's predecessor was Robert Pütz , his successor was Hubert Lentz .

During the term of office of Brückmann, the construction of the city, which was almost completely destroyed on November 16, 1944, took place (see air raids on Düren ).

Honors

The street between Bismarckstrasse and Arnoldsweilerstrasse at the Provinzial high-rise was named Hans-Brückmann-Strasse on October 24, 1962.
