Hubert Lentz

Hubert Lentz (born November 19, 1927 in Kempen ; † August 20, 2014 in Würselen-Bardenberg ) was senior city director from 1962 to 1975 and then city director of Düren until 1986 .

Lentz studied law , philosophy and theology from 1948 to 1954 . During his studies, namely from 1953, he was a research assistant and assistant at the Institute for Canon Law and Rhenish Canon Law History at the University of Cologne . On February 19, 1957 , Lentz received his doctorate as Dr. jur. From March 1, 1959 to October 31, 1962, he worked in the Ministry of Culture in North Rhine-Westphalia in Düsseldorf .

On July 16, 1962 Lentz was elected senior city director. He took up this position on November 1 of the same year. In 1974 he was re-elected. From 1976, the administrative manager in Düren was no longer allowed to call himself senior city director, but only city director. Lentz's term of office ended on October 31, 1986.

From 1966 until its dissolution in 1975 he was a member of the education commission of the German Education Council.

After his service, Lentz practiced as a lawyer . His son is the writer Michael Lentz .

Lentz's predecessor was Hans Brückmann , his successor was Hans Lehmacher .
