Hans Burggraf

Hans Burggraf (born August 22, 1927 in Höchst am Main ; † December 31, 2001 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a Hessian politician ( CDU ), city councilor in Frankfurt am Main and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

Hans Burggraf studied medicine at the University of Frankfurt am Main and received his doctorate as Dr. med. summa cum laude and specialized in psychotherapy . Since 1949 he was a member of the Catholic student union KDSt.V. Hasso-Nassovia Frankfurt am Main .

politics

Burggraf had been a CDU member since 1957 and was chairman of the CDU Dornbusch from 1979 to 2001. Since 1971 he was a member of the district executive committee of the CDU Frankfurt am Main. Since 1972 he has been a member of the state board of the CDU SME Association, from 1975 chairman and since 1991 its honorary chairman.

From 1964 to 1973 he was head of the city district and from 1972 to 1977 a member of the local council 9. In local politics, he was active from 1977 to 1991 as a member of the Frankfurt city council and later as a city council.

He was a member of the Hessian state parliament from 1982 to 1983 and from 1991 to 1999. While he was elected from the CDU state list in 1982 , he won the constituency of Frankfurt am Main III in 1991 and 1995 . In the legislative periods of 1991 and 1995 he was the age president of the state parliament.

Honors

The Hans-Burggraf-Platz in Frankfurt's Dornbusch district was named after Burggraf .

Hans Burggraf received the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon in 1989 .
