Hans Czuma

Hans Czuma (born October 20, 1932 in Brno ; † March 8, 2016 in Salzburg ) was an Austrian philosopher .

Life

He studied law , philosophy and theology in Vienna , Munich , Rome and Innsbruck ( Lic. Theol. 1964 Innsbruck; Dr. phil. 1969 Rome). He became a university lecturer for philosophy in Innsbruck in 1973 and 1975. From 1968 to 1974 he was a university assistant at the Philosophical Institute of the Theological Faculty, Innsbruck. He was a visiting lecturer : 1968–1974 Theological Faculty, Innsbruck; 1975–1977 University of Klagenfurt ; since 1975 Philosophical Institute, University of Innsbruck ; since 1984 Mozarteum University , Salzburg; since 1991 institute for educational sciences, Innsbruck. From 1978 to 1990 he taught media education in teacher training in Salzburg . From 1990 to 1994 he had a philosophical practice in Salzburg.

His research interests were ethics, social philosophy, theory of signs, critical theory, Nietzsche and contemporary philosophy.
