Hans Ebner (politician)

Hans Ebner (* 3. May 1889 in Dellach im Drautal , Carinthia , † 15. December 1969 in Pirk , community Seeboden , Carinthia) was an Austrian farmer and politician of the home block (HB), the Association of Independents (VdU) and as a fraction Loser MP .

Live and act

After attending a two-class elementary school , he worked on his father's farm. During the First World War , Ebner served in the Carinthian House Regiment, Field Marshal Count Khevenhüller No. 7 Infantry Regiment, and received the Golden Medal of Bravery for his service . In 1919 he was company commander in the Carinthian defensive battle .

Until 1930 he was estate manager .

In 1930 he became a member of the National Council for the home block. On May 13, 1932, Ebner was also elected regional director of the Carinthian national organization of the Home Guard, the “Heimatschutzverband Kärnten”. A dispute with the federal leadership of Ernst Rüdiger Starhemberg about the position on the Lausanne bond resulted in Ebner resigning as head of state on October 6, 1932, breaking away from the federal leadership and joining the Styrian Homeland Security .

After the annexation of Austria , he became president of the milk and fat industry association "Südmark" (Styria and Carinthia) in 1938.
