Johannes "Hans" Eckstein (born December 15, 1908 in Leipzig ; † March 15, 1985 ibid) was a German water polo player .
Eckstein took part in the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles , where he and his teammates Erich Rademacher , Fritz Gunst , Otto Cordes , Emil Benecke , Joachim Rademacher , Hans Schulze and Heiko Schwartz took second place in the final group in water polo and thus achieved second place got the silver medal. The water polo team from Hungary achieved gold.
His brother Curt Eckstein was also a successful swimming athlete.
