Hans Friedrich Fuchs (born October 9, 1596 ; † June 8, 1641 in Nuremberg ) comes from the noble family of the Fuchs von Wallburg and was one of the wealthiest and most influential families in the Upper Palatinate of his time .

Life

Hans Friedrich owned or managed goods in Winklarn (Upper Palatinate) , Schönsee , Thanstein , Strahlfeld , Schwarzenberg , Altenschneeberg , Rothenstadt and Frauenstein .

He was councilor of the Electorate of the Palatinate, from 1618 the caretaker of Waldmünchen and from 1619 as in 1601 Jakob Fuchs von Wallburg, the grandson of his great-grandfather Christoph, Land Marshal of the Upper Palatinate. In 1621 the Upper Palatinate was occupied by Duke Maximilian I of Bavaria and subsequently systematically recatholicized ( History of the Upper Palatinate - Thirty Years' War ). In 1624 and 1625 Hans Friedrich took part in the Landtag in Amberg. Even after the threat of violent expropriation, he was not ready to give up his evangelical convictions. In 1629 he finally resigned from his position as land marshal. Like many other evangelical aristocrats, he left the Upper Palatinate forever. He moved with his family first to Regensburg and later to Nuremberg, where he died in 1641.
