Hans Georg Heinke (born January 4, 1945 in Wiener Neustadt ) is an Austrian journalist and news anchor.

Life

After graduating from high school in 1963, Hans Georg Heinke lived for some time in Canada and the USA, after which he studied law at the University of Salzburg , where he received his doctorate in 1970.

Since 1969 he was an employee of the ORF . First as a freelancer in the Salzburg regional studio and since 1970 in Vienna. He hosted numerous television shows such as Lumiere's Children . From 1975 he worked in the daily news field. He is also a colonel in the militia .

From 1985 he presented the children's news program Mini-ZiB .

In 2000 he played a supporting role in the crime scene The Millennium Murderer.

From March 10, 2006, Hans Georg Heinke took part in the second season of the ORF show " Dancing Stars ". With his dance partner Elke Gehrsitz he reached 4th place and had to leave the show on April 28, 2006 after the 7th round.

On August 25, 2008 (with the time in the picture at 1 p.m.), Hans Georg Heinke ended his news moderation work at ORF. He was the longest serving news anchor of the ORF.

He moderated the program Einsatz on TW1 , which dealt with national defense, disaster control and security in Europe. He has also been moderating the performances of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna for several years .

Hans Georg Heinke is married and has two children. He lives in Vienna and in Gols (Burgenland).
