Hans Hilpert

Hans Hilpert (actually: Johann Michael Hilpert ) (born April 20, 1878 in Windsheim ; † July 1, 1946 in Munich ) was a German teacher and politician .

Life

Born as the son of Leonhard Hilpert , who later became a member of the Reichstag , Hans Hilpert studied philosophy with German , history and geography in Erlangen and Munich after attending the Windsheimer Progymnasium and the Erlangen Humanist Gymnasium . During his studies he became a member of the Bubenreuther fraternity in 1898 . In 1907 he was promoted to Dr. phil. PhD . After his studies he went to the Bavarian civil service from 1906 and worked as a teacher, in 1906/07 at the industrial school in Kaiserslautern and then at the Nuremberg Realgymnasium, where he worked as an assistant until 1909 and then as a high school teacher . From 1932 he was a professor at the old grammar school in Munich. In 1918 he was involved in founding the German National People's Party in Bavaria and was its chairman until 1932. From 1919 to 1932 he was a member of the Bavarian state parliament , where he was first chairman of the parliamentary group. After his retirement in 1934 he became honorary chairman of the party.
