Karl Makinen

Karl Edward Makinen Jr. (born December 15, 1970 in Queens , New York City ) is an American actor .

Life

Karl Makinen was born as one of four sons in the New York borough of Queens . When he was two years old, they moved to Long Island . Already in school, he appeared in several stage productions and later received a scholarship that he used to visit HB Studios . After he and a friend failed to gain a foothold on Broadway , they moved to Los Angeles to look for their chance as an actor.

Makinen initially appeared primarily in B-Movies , before taking on guest roles in television series such as Picket Fences - Tatort Gartenzaun or Brooklyn South . Since around the turn of the millennium, he has appeared regularly in guest roles, including Monk , Los Angeles Police Report , Charmed , Navy CIS , Prison Break , Desperate Housewives and Criminal Minds . From 2016 to 2017 he played the role of Richard in the series The Walking Dead .

His film appearances include Suddenly Princess , The Hunt for the Baby or Thirteen Days .
