Hans König (writer)

Hans König (born September 30, 1925 in Erlangen , †  March 11, 2007 in Erlangen) was a German author and Franconian dialect poet.

Live and act

Hans König published numerous books in Franconian dialect. In addition, his texts appeared in various series of Bayerischer Rundfunk (among other things, he was regularly represented for years with texts in the series "Bairisch Herz - Edition Franconia"). He also wrote in High German about the history of his hometown Erlangen.

In his main occupation, Hans König worked in the Erlangen city administration from 1940 to 1986, most recently as head of the city's main office from 1971. He was also very active in the local area, including a. he was involved in the founding of the city federation of Erlanger cultural associations and in the initial phase of the civil partnership Erlangen with the Russian city of Vladimir. The latter was particularly important to him because of his personal experience in World War II.

Among other things, König was a member of the following associations: the Pegnesian Flower Order , the Collegium Nuremberg Dialect Poets and the Association of Franconian Writers (today: Franconian Authors' Association ).
